![]() We play this more than any other format, and so I feel we should just adjust decks to work with any role. Or C: The rogue's second kill can not be the Emperor.Īlso these are unofficial rules as far as I am concerned. B: The assassins and rogue can not simultaneously win if the rogue's second kill is the Emperor, the assassins don't win. Rogue kills the guard, the assassins star going after the emperor, the rogue tells the assassins, let me do the final blow, and we all win. The win condition rules get a bit messy with other roles. (A: used to be half rounded down, so 2 in 5 player game, 3 in a 6 player game) The alternate win condition is to kill 2 people your self. This is a multi part fix so bare with me:Ī: we have come up with an alternative rule that helps to make the Rogue's job easier. BUT make sure you can wrath the board right after! This wrath resets the board making it Rogue vs Emperor. If you have done your job correctly, the emperor can't tell you apart from the guard, from here kill the guard. My favourite: Side with the emperor and kill off the assassins, this will eventually leave you with Emperor, Guard, Rogue. wrath keeps the game going longer which is what you want. spot removal and other cards that allows you to help the Emporer. increase your spot removal and wrath slightly. (you have to keep the game going long enough to pull this off, which feels very rogue like to me, and I enjoy it) in my case 3 of my decks run a mass drain spell. run 1 way to win the game in one good turn. Rogue has always had a tough time (even in regular bang), but honestly makes it alot more fun. We have tweaked with other rewards and penalties, but none came to our liking I will see if I can dig some up for you. The reward system: We find the 3 card reward is enough for an assassin kill, the issue is that too high a reward encourages early game killing.Īnd not a big enough penalty for killing the guard leads to random stabs in the dark by the emperor. We have actually been playing this for about 5-6 years now? So we have flushed things out quite a bit, I hope one of my Rogue suggestions comes to your liking If you have any questions, check the FAQ first.(it is in the resource folder) Alternate win condition: ROGUE is able to kill all other players at once, the EMPEROR must be the last or tied with the last to die (ROGUE must be alive). ![]() ROGUE -Win condition: All players but the EMPEROR and the ROGUE are Alive, and then the EMPEROR is killed by the ROGUE (ROGUE must be alive). Any or all ASSASSINS can be dead and still win.īonus/Penalty: When you die, the player who killed you may draw up to three cards. The GUARD can be dead and still win.ĪSSASSIN -Win condition: The EMPEROR is dead, and the ROGUE’s win condition is not fulfilled. GUARD -Win condition: All ASSASSINS are dead, ROGUE is dead. Should the EMPEROR kill the GUARD, the EMPEROR places the following into the Exile zone: His/Her non land permanents in play, graveyard, and hand. Starts first, +10 starting life, +1 starting hand size, +1 maximum hand size GUARD’s status does not effect the EMPEROR winning. (If you do not have role cards just write down the role names on any bulk magic cards and hand them out.)ĮMPEROR -Win condition: EMPEROR is alive, All ASSASSINS are dead, ROGUE is dead. EX: "Remember when I killed off that token army that was attacking you?", is allowed. You can restate actions you have done in game. EX: "If I am lying you can tear up my X card.". You are not allowed to make any external influences that will effect the game. If you just finished a game, and were the ROGUE in the last game, you can request to “redeal” the roles, until you aren’t the ROGUE (You do this BEFORE the game starts). Ever other role is secret and is placed face down. If you have the EMPEROR role, reveal the card. ASSASSIN X 2 (Add an additional ASSASSIN if there are 6 players) Each role has its own win condition, some roles have additional rules in game. If you have played Bang, or the three kingdoms game, this is the adaptation. This is a role playing game used with Commander decks. If I have given you role cards, it’s also written on the back of the role cards if you forget) (Or search Kesofcom on MTG salvation there will be a link somewhere. Updates, rules, and other materials to be found here: Additonal Information, notes, FAQ, ETC, can be found there. NOTE: I may not always update this thread, the link to the folder containing rules will always be the most updated. ![]() ![]() It's basically bang / the three kingdoms game, but modified to fit EDH. I have finally taken steps to try to spread the variant around. A small group of us made a variant YEARS ago.
